Nationwide is an organization that truly lives its values. It always puts people first. There is true caring for staff and residents here. This is the only organization that I have ever worked for in which the direct care staff has a direct line of communication right to the top. Mr. Gelley, our owner and charismatic leader, has strong relationships with staff members throughout the company. He is very visible and approachable. He makes sure that we have all of the tools we need to do our job well and ensures that a resident never goes without a needed service. You just don’t see this level of commitment in today’s business world. I am so fortunate to be part of the Nationwide Team!
Kris started out in the health care field as a Nursing Assistant while she attended school for her Registered Nurse Diploma at a hospital based nursing program in Trenton, NJ. She worked at teaching hospitals including Mount Sinai in Miami Beach and Robert Wood Johnson in New Jersey. Kris transitioned to the skilled nursing area of nursing practice in 1997, working in various roles such as Subacute Director, Clinical Nurse Liaison, Assistant Director of Nursing, and Director of Nursing. While advancing her nursing career, she obtained a BSN Degree in 2005 from Wilmington University in Delaware.
At that time, Kris also took courses for and obtained her Nursing Home Administrator’s License.
